CULTURAL HERITAGE

The teachers also planned activities related to local cultural heritage. In addition to going out to the city to buy ingredients, the children at school prepared fresh pesto, a typical Ligurian recipe, and reproduced a mortar with a 3D pen.

PRIMARY SCHOOLS

The activity, planned in detail by the class teaching teams, was developed in three fundamental moments:

  • review of the meaning of cultural heritage (through the brainstorming and debate methodology, the students reviewed the concept of Cultural Heritage with its subdivisions: tangible, intangible, natural, movable, immovable, underwater, making concrete examples not only at a local and national level, but also at a European level);

  • research and study of cultural sites, as well as symbolic monuments of the countries belonging to the European Union (thanks to the use of the web, children became familiar with the different European realities and specifically they got to know the symbolic monuments of the different European countries and applied the knowledge acquired also by playing the Memory quiz);

  • use of 3D technology.

TRIP TO PISA

The fourth grade of Bradia used scanner technology in order to  print a reproduction of  “Piazza dei miracoli” in Pisa where the class went on a field trip.

At school, using Kiri Engine, pupils scanned a small souvenir of Piazza dei Miracoli and printed it with the 3D printer Ender Max.
